Many events were held last week as part of International Lasallian Days for Peace sponsored by Campus Ministry, including a prayer at the Winona Campus Peace Pole for the lives recently lost in Las Vegas and an end to violence.
Additionally, an interfaith panel discussion involved members of the Saint Mary’s faculty and community sharing stories of faith and talking about their varied beliefs and traditions. And a four-week discussion began of a book by Eboo Patel, Interfaith Leadership: A Primer.
As part of the Unity in Diversity speaker series, Rev. Hannah Kardon spoke to students, faculty and staff at both campuses about “Building Peace through Interfaith Dialogue.” Rev. Kardon is pastor of Urban Village Church, an inclusive evangelical community in Chicago.
